Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Hubel, Inc. (“Hubel,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Hubel platform and related services (the “Service”). Hubel is a business-to-business product; most of the data we process belongs to the businesses that use the Service and the systems they connect.
1. Information We Collect
We collect:
- Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider collects your name, email address, and login credentials. We receive your identity and the business you belong to; we do not store your password.
- Business and operational data. Information about your organization that you enter or that the Service organizes — properties, departments, suppliers, employees, policies, and similar records.
- Connected-system data. When you connect a third-party system, the Service reads the data you authorize it to read from that system (for example, accounting transactions, vendors, invoices, point-of-sale sales, payroll, or scheduling data).
- Usage and log data. Technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages and features used, and timestamps, collected to operate and secure the Service.
2. Connected Accounting & Financial Systems
When you connect a third-party system — such as your accounting, point-of-sale, payroll, or banking platform — you authorize Hubel to access data in that account through the provider’s secure authorization flow. We use this access to read records (for example, vendors, bills, invoices, transactions, and accounts) so the Service can surface insights, reconcile activity, and prepare related work for you.
We access connected-system data only to provide the Service to you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it except with the infrastructure and AI subprocessors that help us operate the Service. We store access tokens rather than your credentials for those systems, and tokens are encrypted at rest. You can revoke our access at any time by disconnecting the system, after which we stop reading new data.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- read, normalize, and analyze data from systems you connect, and generate insights, summaries, and recommended actions;
- operate agents that carry out tasks you have authorized;
- authenticate users, enforce tenant isolation, and secure the Service;
- communicate with you about your account, support requests, and changes to the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers (subprocessors). We use trusted vendors to run the Service, including authentication, cloud hosting and database infrastructure, integration connectivity, AI model processing, and email delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Within your organization. Data is visible to authorized users of your business according to the roles and permissions you configure.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
Representative subprocessors include our authentication provider, cloud and database hosting (United States), our integration platform, and our AI model providers. We can provide a current subprocessor list on request.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain Customer Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may disconnect a connected system at any time, which revokes our ongoing access to it. You may request export or deletion of your data by emailing info@hubel.ai; we will delete it within a reasonable period, subject to any data we must retain to meet legal obligations.
6. Security
We protect data with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, encryption of third-party access tokens, database-level row isolation between tenants, role-based access controls, and least-privilege access for our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address vulnerabilities.
7. International Data Transfers
Hubel is operated from the United States, and the data we process is stored and processed in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@hubel.ai. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. Because much of the data we process belongs to a business customer, we may direct certain requests to that business as the controller of the data.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-product) and update the “Last updated” date above.
